The Sportz III Truck Tent will fit pickup trucks equipped with bedliners and bedside railings as long as they're less than 3 inches tall. You can use the Truck Tent with a toolbox, but you'll lose interior sleeping space. Obviously, you can't use the tent if the bed of your truck is fitted with a rollbar or spare tire.

We recently had the opportunity to try one of these unique tents in our Fiery Redhead F-150 longbed project vehicle, and we were impressed. The build quality of the tent is impeccable. The body of the tent is constructed of durable 800mm polyester titanium 190T and the patented sewn-in floor is made from tough nylon. Our Sportz III was Navy Blue, but Napier also offers it in Tan or Advantage Timber Camo.
The tent is affixed to the truck via adjustable straps, which attach to the truck bed. We found that the tent's design is rugged enough to endure sustained high winds.
Assembling the tent is a breeze-much like any other modern tent on the market, only better. Why is it better? Well, setup didn't require us to get down on our hands and knees, and the only stakes used are the four that support the awning poles. You simply lay the tent in the bed of the truck, fasten the tent to the truck via the adjustable straps, and install the color-coded, shock-corded, carbon-fiber-wrapped fiberglass poles. Assembly is completed by erecting the built-in awning, which is supported by adjustable poles, adjustable cords, and stakes.
Inside the tent there was ample room for two adults with almost 6 feet of headroom. Because the Sportz III utilizes the vehicle's tailgate, we had 10 feet of length in our tent. This generous length translated to plenty of room for our Smart Pump system-equipped Sportz Air Mattress (MSRP $41), plus it left us with almost 4 feet of additional space for our gear. Ventilation was great; thanks to three large no-see-um mesh windows. In the case of rain or heavy dew, each window can be zipped closed and there's an included rainfly. The large 6x6 awning offered plenty of covered space for us to lounge on our Napier Deluxe Camping Chairs (MSRP $24.95 each).
